Siva Shanker (2013-2015)

Achievements:

  • Part of the working committee to introduce the registration of REN Programme at BOARD level.
  • Expanded MASPEX to Johor and Penang.
  • Embarked on a nationwide exercise to train Real Estate Negotiators for certification for BOVAEA. Created history by conducting 42 NRS classes and trained 11,000 Negotiators.
  • Launched MIEA Youth.
  • Successfully worked with the BOARD to increase the number or RENs per Real Estate Agent
    from 20 to 30.
  • Reorganised the Education & Training Department and raised RM2.1 million in revenue.
  • Purchased MIEA Johor Secretariat Office & Training Center.
  • Opened MIEA Penang Secretariat Office & Training Center.
  • Opened MIEA Sarawak Secretariat Office & Training Center.
  • Signed MOU with PropertyGuru offering special listing packages for membership.
  • Acquired one floor office lot at 3 Two Square for education and training.

I.P.P Nixon Paul (2011-2013)

Achievements:

Collaborated with National Association of Realtors (NAR) of USA and successfully conducted the Certified International Property Specialist course, (CIPS) in Malaysia.
Initiated the collaboration with Open University of Malaysia (OUM) to conduct the Professional Diploma in Estate Agency. The first batch started classes in Johor, Kota Kinabalu and Kuching in 2012.
Initiated the development of the MIEA portal.
Conceptualized the idea of  Malaysian Annual  Secondary Property Exhibition (MASPEX) and successfully launched it in 2013.
Enhanced the membership by recruiting approximately 500 new members during Presidential term.
Rebranded the property talks and enhanced the frequency of these talks. The talks were rebranded as REPS (Real Estate Professional  Seminars).
Initiated a half yearly press conference on secondary Malaysian property outlook with the intention to promote and educate the public on the goings on in the secondary Malaysian property market.
Revamped the membership database with the installation of new membership management software.
Initiated a bulk emailing system to communicate with members effectively.
Enhanced the Secretariat with the appointment of an Office Manager and additional clerical staff to better manage the operations. 
Changed the hardware and upgraded the software at the Secretariat for better efficiency.
Initiated the allocation of a revolving fund to set up Secretariats at our existing branches. A sum RM 80,000 was approved at the AGM 2013.
Resolved the issue of the mandatory salary directive  with the Board.
Revamped the Training Room to create a more comfortable learning experience.
P.P Julie Wong (2009-2011)

Achievements:

MIEA Johor convention in collaboration with IEA of Singapore and MIEA held in Johor on October 31st and November 1st, 2009.
CRS Real Estate Advanced Practices (REAP) from National Association of Realtors (NAR).
Joint memorandum with ACCCIM Construction Association, Pam, Chinese Chamber of Commerce, Industry of Malaysia, REHDA, MIEA and etc. on the amended RPGT tax on property.
Dialogues with MOF & MITI on the roadmaps towards Globalisation and Liberalisation.
Instrumental in securing RM 100,000.00 education grant from the Reaume foundation, USA.

Achievements:

Adoption of Theme "UNITED, RELEVANT PROGRESSIVE" as the theme for MIEA.
The new look Bulletin with a new name "D'REAM".
MIEA Annual Dinner has been redesignated as a separate event from the MAREC Convention.
Introduction of MIEA Awards of Excellence which is held annually in conjunction with the Annual Dinner to recognise top industry players.
Purchasing of MIEA's own premises.
Publication of MIEA Coffee table book.
Launching of new MIEA logo.
P.P. Stephen Tew Peng Hwee (2001-2003)

Achievements:

Establishment of the national task force on eradication of Illegal Estate Agents.
Formed a surveillance team in Klang Valley to monitor the activities of Illegal Agents.
Launched the new MIEA-MLS Systems.
Launching of Power Luncheon talks.
Launched the Real Estate Negotiators' Training Course.
Launched the 1st Malaysian Annual Real Estate Convention and raised over RM200,000 for the Institute.
P.P. Raymond Tang King Seng (1999-2001)

Achievements:

Launched the new MIEA logo to reflect a new image of the Institute after 26 years.
Organised the Asia Pacific Regional Real Estate Convention and Exposition (APRRECE 2000) in collaboration with the N.A.R, which attracted real estate practitioners from various countries in the Asia Pacific Region and America.
MIEA awarded the "International Outreach Effort Award" by the N.A.R.
First educational visit to REIWA (Real Estate Institute of Western Australia).
P.P. Thinahara Kumar A/L Nagalingam (1997-1999)

Achievements:

Signing of the Bilateral Co-operation agreement between MIEA and the National Association of Realtors (N.A.R), USA.
Inaugural meeting with the President of Real Estate Associations of Philippines, Singapore and Thailand to explore the concept of forging an alliance.

Protem President Paul Lee (1974 - 1977)
Achievements: Chaired the first committee and laid the ground work for the formation of the Association. He further help develop the constitution of the Malaysian Association of Real Estate Agents (MAREA) and logo of MAREA.
