Dato' Sri Gavin Tee is a man with many talents and has taken on numerous roles in his professional life. He is the founder and president of SwhengTee International Real Estate Investors Club. Through his global network, he has recently set up Swhengtee International Investment Alliance aimed at bringing in RM10 billion to invest in property development, manufacturing & film production in Asia within the next three years.
Over the decades, Gavin has built himself up into not only an internationally renowned investment adviser and entrepreneur, but an extremely popular and respected speaker and trainer. He was also appointed as the Vice-Chairman of the Investment Advisory Committee of the Malaysia-China Chamber of Commerce.
As one of the region’s most popular investment experts, Gavin’s annual forecast on the Malaysian real estate market has long been one of the major highlights of the industry. Key points revealed during his talks often became major references for both investors and developers. His accurate predictions are well known in the industry, and helped pave the path for him to be appointed as a consultant to many top 10 developers in Malaysia & China.
Gavin was also invited as the VIP speaker for Country Garden Group - the first real estate developer from China to venture into Malaysia. In 2013, Gavin took the next step in his global venture with his self-funded SwhengTee Property World Tour (SWT) to more than 20 cities worldwide to promote what he calls the Greater SEA Era as well as Malaysia as a premium real estate destination.
He was invited as a VIP speaker at The 5th China Real Estate Fujian Businessman Conference held in FuZhou, China, guest of honor & speaker for Asia- Pacific Real Estate Investment Fair held in Tokyo as well as a key speaker among all the top Asean leaders at Charming ASEAN, into China launching event which was organized by the China-Asean Association. Gavin was also invited as a Guest Lecturer at Tsinghua University Global Executive of Business Administration Program (EMBA). Next, he also spoke at The 4th Malaysia-China Entrepreneur Conference (MCEC) which took place in Xiamen on 9th September 2014.
Gavin has been active in establishing liaison networks with his global counterparts long before others. He has set up real estate consultation offices in Beijing, Xiamen and Shanghai, and formed strategic alliances with partners from Hong Kong, Taiwan, Singapore, Japan, and the UK to pave the way for his global real estate journey. Gavin has come a long way in the industry and has more than 25 years’ of experience behind him. Gavin’s investment prowess is widely recognized and he personally led his team on an amazing runin the real estate industry. While his investment club is only 6 years old, it has already invested more than RM1 billion in the real estate market to date.
In order to better disseminate real estate information to more people, Gavin had co-operated with Malaysia’s oldest English broadsheet, the New Straits Times from 2011 to 2013, to help provide content to its weekly real estate pull-out. He is also the adviser of Malaysia’s first Chinese real estate magazine, Real Estate Malaysia, and his contribution in the printed media further cemented his position with both Chinese and English speaking audience.
Despite his busy schedule travelling around Asia to promote property and tourism, Dato Sri Gavin has taken the initiative to found a new Asia-wide property magazine, Asian Property Review. The magazine is set up with a 4-pronged objective including to promote Asian properties to the whole world, to be a platform to deepen the property markets in Asia; and also to provide a platform for property professionals to share their expertise and opinions; and to educate investors on the intricacies of property investment in Asia.
In the year of 2016, Gavin will also introduce a TV reality show on property named Anyone Can Be a Property Millionaire. Inspired by his belief that anyone at all, which can include a young graduate, a retiree, or even the disabled, can become a property millionaire if given the right training, the show is a platform for Gavin to prove to the world that this can be done. To be broadcasted in the most popular TV station in Malaysia, this unique programme is anticipated to have a game-changing impact on the local property industry, and possibly the world.
Running concurrently with the reality show is an investment course with the same topic as well as books that expand further on the concept that anyone can be a property millionaire. Gavin will further conduct a tailor-made course specially catered to the disabled to kick off the show.
Datuk Christopher Boyd is the Executive Chairman of Savills Malaysia. He is a registered valuer in Malaysia. He has over 40 years’ experience in the country and a further 10 years’ in the UK, Australia and Singapore. Mr. Boyd’s professional career in Malaysia has spanned leading roles in international property consultancies as well as 6 years as the Managing Director of a listed Malaysian development company. His consultancy recently rebranded as Savills Malaysia.
Datuk Hoe Mee Ling is the Divisional General Manager of Eco World Development Group Berhad (EW Berhad), responsible for Eco World industrial and business park developments, high end township development and Singapore office specializing in overseas projects ( London and Australia). She has 22 years of experience in the property development industry.
She holds a Master of Business Administration (Distinction) from Heriot Watt University, Edinburgh, United Kingdom. Prior to joining EW Berhad, she was the Divisional General Manager for the Southern Property Division of S P Setia Berhad taking charge of the residential, commercial and business park developments. She spearheaded the eco development of S P Setia Berhad in Iskandar Malaysia and one of her projects, Setia Eco Gardens, was conferred the FIABCI Prix d' Excellence Award in 2009 and 2012. She was also responsible for overseeing the offices of S P Setia Berhad Group in Singapore and Jakarta. She started her career with IOI Properties Berhad where she was involved in sales, marketing and branding of township and golf course developments in Johor.
She was the Chairman of the Real Estate & Housing Developers' Association Malaysia ( REHDA ) for the state of Johor and the National Council Member for the Real Estate & Housing Developers’ Association Malaysia for year 2014-2016. She has been involving herself actively in community works to help the poor and the needy via SP Setia Foundation and Ecoworld Foundation for more than 10 years.
Datuk Seri Michael K C Yam is the Immediate Past President and Patron of REHDA. He had a successful 35 year career in the real estate, construction and corporate sectors prior to his early retirement in 2008. The last 12 years of his professional life were spent helming 2 different award winning public listed property companies as their CEO/MD developing, managing and holding investments in hotels, commercial, retail, residential and integrated mixed development properties, golf courses and international schools not only in Malaysia but also in the UK, South Africa, Mauritius and Australia.
Apart from being the MD of an advisory firm known as Impetus Alliance Advisors, he is currently the senior independent director of Malaysia Airports Holdings Berhad and Paramount Corporation Berhad and independent director of Sunway Berhad and Cahya Mata Sarawak Berhad. He is the current Chairman of Invest KL Corporation and also appointed onto the Board of Standard Chartered Bank Malaysia Berhad, Standard Chartered Saadiq Berhad, Construction Industry Development Board and Kwasa Land Sdn Bhd. Datuk Seri Michael Yam graduated in Building and Management Studies from the University of Westminster in 1979 and is professionally qualified as a Fellow of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors and also a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Building. He was the CEO of the Year 2002 and awarded a honorary fellowship of the Construction Industry Development Board in 2015.
Mr Bernard Lee has more than 10 years of total experience in the sales management, brand and marketing strategist, regional business development and digital commerce exposure in several disciplines and different environments.
His current portfolio in 11street.my (Celcom Planet Sdn. Bhd.; a JV Company between SK Planet & Celcom Axiata) would be formulating and monetizing the advertising business unit for 11street Malaysia. His other primary task for this role is to lead the Seller Development and Seller Management team to support the sellers’ development growth, to increase their competency in the e-Commerce marketplace and the online commerce ecosystem in Malaysia.
Together with his team, they have launch the first online sellers’ academy in the region called 11street Academywhich is endorsed by MDEC, Google and Facebook. At this juncture, he is overseeing a total number 17 headcount with 4 direct reports which spreads across the Seller Acquisition, Seller Development, Advertising and Content Upload Team departments.
Prior to his current role, he was the Head of Sales for mudah.my (Online Classifieds Marketplace), one of the leading digital media platform, a technology driven organization and the largest on-line marketplace in Malaysia. The role has allowed him to gain invaluable experience and exposure in the digital media and the internet business landscape. At mudah.my, he led a total sales team of 12 persons comprising of key account managers and customer activation executives covering several business verticals nationwide.
During his stint at mudah.my, he and his team had managed to create several significant milestones and over-achieved their annual sales target (Classified Sales Business Division) in two consecutive years for FY14 & FY15.
Mr Bernard’s recognition goes beyond the organization as he was invited to be one of the speakers at the iRetail World Asia Conference in Singapore on October 2013, a conference event organized by Clariden Global that featured comprehensive end-to-end ecommerce strategies and solutions featuring Asia’s 30+ thought leaders and speakers.

Mr Getty Goh is the Chief Executive Officer and co‐founder of CoAssets Limited (ASX:CA8). He holds both a Bachelor in Building Science and a Masters of Real Estate from National University of Singapore. Before founding CoAssets, Mr Goh founded Ascendant Assets Pte Ltd in 2008, a real estate research firm providing research and reports to Singapore realtors and property portals. Mr Goh has published three books on real estate investments and a book on crowdfunding titled "Crowdfunding Wisdom". Mr Goh regularly shares his views with both local and international media such as Channel News Asia, Singapore Business Review and the Wall Street Journal.
Mr Harry Yeo Hock Chuan is a real estate practitioner and trainer. He has a total of 41 years of work experience, with 19 years of teaching experience in real estate and other courses. Prior to joining the real estate agency industry, he was working in the private sector and has held senior executive positions at various organizations in Singapore, Malaysia and New Zealand.
Harry started his teaching career in 1996 by preparing students for the Common Examination For House Agents (CEHA). To-date, with more than 19 years of teaching and training experience in real estate courses to his credit, he has taught thousands of students who have successfully passed various real estate examinations.
Harry has authored two textbooks on real estate in the year 2011, for use by students in their preparation for their real estate examinations. He has also developed and written many Continuing Professional Development (CPD) courses for use by adult educators and learners to update and upgrade their real estate knowledge and skills. These CPD courses are recognized and approved by the Council for Estate Agencies, a statutory board under the Ministry of National Development. Harry has taught thousands of students in various CPD Courses, since 2011.
In the year 2002 to 2003, Harry was a facilitator and trainer at the Ong Teng Cheong Institute of Labour Studies (formerly known as Singapore Institute of Labour Studies, a training-arm of NTUC) for the Ministry of Manpower’s Workskills Training Programme (WSTP). The aim of WSTP then was to help Singaporean workers acquire essential labour market skills, during the economic downturn. The two-day (per run) facilitated training programme was run on similar lines to those of WSQ training programmes.
Today, Harry is a principal lecturer and adult educator for real estate courses at the Institute of Estate Agents, Singapore. He conducts training there for examination and non-examination courses. Harry holds a Master of Business Administration degree from Oklahoma City University of U.S.A. and several real estate qualifications from Singapore, including Certificate-in-CEHA, Certificate-in-REA, Certificate-in-RES and Certificate in Elements of Conveyancing Practice from SIM University.
Harry is also professionally-qualified. He is a Chartered Secretary & Chartered Banker by training. He has been admitted as an Associate of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators of the United Kingdom, as well as the Chartered Institute of Bankers of the United Kingdom. In addition, he also a Certified Financial Planner.
Harry also holds a Diploma in Adult and Continuing Education (DACE) and an Advanced Certificate in Training and Assessment (ACTA). Juliana Teh is a real estate negotiator with more than 20 years of experience in the industry. Sue Ding, a registered Principal of Harvest-Time Properties, has been in the Real Estate Industry since 1984.
Her career started by chance when she was spotted and recognized by a senior professional Estate Agent, and thereon there was no turning back. She serves as a Board Director at West San Gabriel Valley Association of REALTORS and California Association of REALTORS. Yin is currently the National Association of REALTORS (NAR) President’s Liaison to Malaysia. She is also the 2017 Chair of NAR’s CIPS Advisory Board.

Sr Adzman Shah Mohd Ariffin graduated from University of Glamorgan, Wales, United Kingdom with a Bachelor of Sciencedegree in Urban Estate Management. With over 25years of experience in the property industry, Sr Adzmanfirst started his career in real estateatJohn David Watts and Morgan Chartered Surveyors and Cardiff City CouncilinWales,United Kingdom, carrying out work mainlyin valuation, real estate agencyand property management.
Upon returning to Malaysia in 1991, he worked for various corporations and firms which included Taylor Woodrow International Ltd.on the STAR LRT projectas the Land and Property Coordinator,Colliers Jordan Lee & Jaafar Sdn Bhd.Chartered Surveyors, Cold Storage Malaysia Bhd and Carrefour Malaysia covering wide ranging experience which includeddevelopment planning, property and shopping centre management, market research and consultancy, marketing, acquisition, disposal and leasing.
Sr Adzman Shah wasthe Deputy Managing Director of DTZ Nawawi Tie Leung Property Consultants Sdn Bhd. overseeing the firm’s operationsand in particular responsible for Valuation, Investment, ResearchConsultingand Asset/Property Management and thereafter,Chief Executive Officerof Hektar Property Services Sdn Bhd responsible for the asset managementand centre management of retail assets including strata malls worth RM1 billionunder Hektar REIT.

Sr Adzmanis a Professional Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyor (RICS) and a Fellow of Royal Institution of Surveyors Malaysia(RISM). He is also a Registered Valuer, Property Managerand Estate Agent with the Board of Valuers, Appraisers and Estate Agents of Malaysia.
He received a special award in 2011 for eminent contribution in the field of property management in Malaysia from the Board of Valuers, Appraisers and Estate Agents Malaysia. Heserved asCouncil Memberofthe Royal Institution of Surveyors Malaysia (RISM)for 5 years consecutively, Deputy President of Malaysian Institute of Professional Property Managers(MIPPM)and sits on the Property Management Sub Committeeat the Board of Valuers, Appraisers and Estate Agents Malaysia.Sr Adzman was recently awardedthe title of “Pengurus Harta Utama Negara”from the Board of Valuers, Appraisers and Estate Agents Malaysiain the 2016 Convocation Dinnerwhich also carried the cash award of RM 10,000.00.
Sr Adzmansits on several advisory boards and committees which include Board of Governors for Institute Penilaian Negara (INSPEN), Prosper Property Working Committee for Perbadanan Usahawan Nasional Berhad (PUNB)on property acquisitionand management, Committee Member for Bumiputera Retailers Organisation (BRO), Committee Member for the Strata Title Working Group chaired by the Director General of Lands and MinesDepartment under The Ministry of Natural Resourcesand also Member of the Disciplinary Committee, Advocates and Solicitors Disciplinary Board.
He is also a part time lecturer on Real Estate Agency Practice at UCSI, regular speaker on real estateinvestment and strata property matters accredited by the Ministry of Natural Resources and the Ministry of Urban Wellbeing, Housing and Local Government.He was one of the drafting committee members for the Strata Management Act 2013 (Act 757), Strata Title Act 1985 (Act 318 and Act A1450)and also recentlyparticipated in consultationsessions for the 11th Malaysian Plan which included the possibility of developing wakaf landbanks. He is currently a speaker on strata related topics for the Strata Community Seminars organised by the Commissioner of Building and the Ministry of Urban Wellbeing, Housing and Local Governmentalmost on regular basis.
Sr Elvin Fernandez is a Registered Valuer (V-170) and Estate Agent (E-82) and presently the Managing Director of the Khong & Jaafar Group Of Companies.
He is an Independent Non-Executive Director of Sunway REIT, a Fellow of RICS, UK, the Vice President of the Business Valuers Association Malaysia, a Member of the International Association of Consultants, Valuators & Analysts, an Exco Member of the Private Valuers Association (PEPS) and the Secretary General of the ASEAN Valuers Association. Sr Elvin is a Member of MIEA, Life Fellow of the Institution of Valuers and Member of the Practising Valuers Association (India), the Institute of Philippine Real Estate Appraisers, the National Association of Romanian Valuers, the Indonesian Society of Appraisers and China Appraisal Society.
He is a Past President of RISM, PEPS and a Past Chairman of the International Valuation Standards Council. He also served as a Member/Exco Member of the Board of Valuers from 1993-2007.
He was awarded “Property Consultant of the Year 2005” by the Board of Valuers. On 20 May 2011 he was conferred with “Professional Excellence” Award in the “Engineering, Construction & Property”category by the Malaysian Professional Centre.In 2014, he was conferred with “Valuer of the Year 2013” Award by RISM.
